Start with the routes, not the listicles

How this site is organized: which city guides to read first, what every price came from, and how to turn our notes into your own eating itinerary.

This site is a set of field notes, not a directory. The way in is the city you are actually going to: read the market piece first, then the breakfast route, then the one restaurant review that matches your last evening. Everything else can wait until you have dates.

Where the prices come from

Every number in these pages was paid on the spot — no press rates, no hosted tables. If a dish moved between visits, both prices are listed with the month. Currency stays local; the conversion is one line, not the headline.

How to build your route

Each guide ends with the single next step: which stall to start with, what to book ahead, what time the queue peaks. Take that one action, then read the neighbouring piece — the guides are written to be read in pairs, not scraped in bulk.
